Course Description:  Covers the requirements and Steps Building inspectors perform during footing, foundation and slab inspections as required in the Florida Building Code and the approved set of plans.

Course Learning Objectives: Upon completion of the course, participants shall be able to :

• Understand and implement the steps required to do a proper footing, foundation or slab inspection. 
• Recognize the different termite protection systems and requirements for inspections
• Describe the requirements for inspecting reinforcement in slabs and foundations
• Read plans and inspect installation in accordance with approved plans
• Be able to explain the inspection requirements to other contractors and builders
